Short Term Disability

Short Term Disability benefits (Non-Occupational) are payable on the first day of total disability due to an accident or hospitalization and the eighth day of total disability due to a sickness for a maximum of 26 weeks. (Pregnancy is covered as any other sickness.)

All Short Term Disability benefits payments are subject to FICA tax, where applicable. the Short Term Disability benefit cannot exceed 70% of basic weekly earnings.

Short Term Disability benefits terminate at retirement.
